What to Expect
-
This training is led by two licensed clinicians who have completed year-long certification programs in psychedelic-assisted therapy and built successful ketamine therapy practices. Both facilitators bring direct, ongoing experience offering ketamine-assisted therapy with individual clients and in retreat settings, meaning participants learn not from a theoretical framework alone but from clinicians who are living this work every day. This depth of real-world experience informs every aspect of the curriculum — from the clinical frameworks we teach to the experiential container we create.
Participation in the ketamine journey portion of the experiential weekend requires a thorough evaluation and approval from a physician trained in ketamine therapy. We can provide a referral to a physician if needed.
-
Our eight week course is a hybrid virtual and in-person course. Weeks 1-6 and week 8 will be live virtual classes. Week 7 is an in-person experiential weekend in Houston, Texas.
-
This 8-week program covers the historical, cultural, and indigenous roots of psychedelic-assisted therapy; the neuroscience and pharmacology underlying ketamine's therapeutic effects; client assessment and selection; preparation, navigation, and integration frameworks; safety, ethics, and boundaries; and an introduction to specialized modalities to expand participants' awareness of emerging approaches in the field. Experiential practice sessions provide opportunities to apply clinical skills in a supervised setting.
-
What sets this training apart from many ketamine-assisted therapy programs is the inclusion of an immersive experiential weekend intensive. Participants will have the opportunity to experience ketamine as medicine in a supported therapeutic setting — gaining firsthand insight into what they will be guiding their clients through and deepening their understanding of the therapeutic possibilities of this work. The weekend also includes supervised hands-on practice of preparation and integration sessions, allowing participants to develop practical clinical skills in real time within a safe and intentional community. We believe that embodied experience is an essential foundation for offering this work with competence, presence, and authenticity.
